How it works:
Shortest Job First (SJF) is a scheduling algorithm where the process with the smallest burst time is executed first. Among all available processes at the current time, the one with the least remaining CPU time is selected to run next. This minimizes average waiting time.
- Algorithm Type : Non-preemptive
- Advantages : Minimal average waiting time, optimal
- Disadvantages : Starvation, difficult to predict burst time
